Power Talk knows that our strength lies not only in the words we stand by, but most importantly through the actions of our initiatives. As a survivor of sexual abuse, Executive Director, Naomi Nucia, wanted to bring awareness to the uncomfortable topic of sexual abuse, by facilitating an open and transparent discussion about it. From this, she created the panel discussion, Power Talk. Now in its third year, Power Talk advocates for men, women and children who have been victimized by sexual abuse.
We believe all survivors can embrace who they are,
can define their future, and can change the world.
To provide a non-judgmental atmosphere for both men and women to share their testimonies, while aiming to inspire the voiceless and give hope to the hopeless. PowerTalk will spark taboo conversations by providing knowledge and resources needed for personal wellness.
Every community in which we serve has the right to be heard. Allowing individuals to be free from trauma and oppression while gaining the power to help change the world.
